Meet the expert:
Vaiju Naravane is currently the European Bureau Chief of The Hindu, a reference national daily newspaper. She is also an editor for foreign literature for Editions Albin Michel, a teacher at Sciences Po Paris and a lecturer at HEC. After she studied in India and in Minnesota, Vaiju Naravanel has led a thirty year career, for which she has taken advantage of her dual Indian and Western culture as a reporter and working for international organizations such as the WHO, for which she was a news editor from 1996 to 1999. Maintaining profitable industrial or commercial relationships with India implies good knowledge of the ground of its economic power, but also the foundations of its political and social vulnerability. From her on-the-ground experience, Vaiju Naravane made us discover India: its culture, its customs, its economic and social actors as well as its institutions in their amazing complexity.
